My friends, how are you doing? I hope you’re not feeling too much stress because of the holiday season and virus situation. I’ve shifted my mindset and decided for the next six weeks to just stay indoors and keep things cozy while we ride out this cold weather and the pandemic.
I’m planning on spending those winter nights hanging with my family and a few close friends by the fireplace. In those moments when we’re not staring at our phones, we like to connect with games or puzzles. A family favorite is Jackbox games that we play with our phones and the TV, those are a lot of fun. I’ve mentioned a few other favorites below in this list of games to keep us all entertained for the coming winter. Share your favorites too!
Personalized Lake Cribbage Board
Blokus (my son’s new favorite)
What do you Meme? (Family Edition)
Catan board game
I Dissent – trivial nonsense game
Werewolf (I play this a lot with my cousins!)
Not Parent Approved – family friendly mischievous answers game
Pick your Poison – Family Friendly Edition
Heads Up! and Psych! are both fun app based games to play with smartphones
Gutterhead is and Adult Party Drawing Game that’s very funny
What games are you playing with family and friends this winter? Share your favorites I’d love to know!
Great games! Thank you for your time!
We play monopoly during the winter break and leave it out until we are all broke except one of us. We recently acquired the game Snippets and enjoy that word game. We also like Phase 10 card game. Happy Holidays
Thanks for lighting my in-doors by suggesting I play games with my family. All this time, I have been obsessing about how I won’t be able to visit my friends, parks, restaurants and my favorite of all night clubbing. But playing games is something I used to do with my Dad when I was a kid that I haven’t been able to do with my own kids. The card and board games I know how to play are chess, black jack and monopoly with chess being my favorite. However, some of the games I see in those post seem kind of cool and I think I will get them, especially the Not Parent Approved for myself. It seems like something that will be fun to try. Great post. Keep it up and Merry Christmas.
These are interesting indoor games to play with kids. I will try few of them with my daughter. Thanks Kate!
